TITLE: Discussion and possible action regarding appointment of a Member to the Charter Review Advisory Board.
Recommended Action
Consider appointment of one (1) Member to the Charter Review Advisory Board.
Background Information
There is currently one (1) vacancy on the Charter Review Advisory Board and the vacancy has been announced at Commission Regular Meetings from February 14, 2017 through March 28, 2017. The City Clerk’s Office has received three applications and there are no other applications currently pending. The first applicant is Janine Korpa. Ms. Korpa previously applied for the Charter Review Advisory Board and another applicant was chosen. Ms. Korpa has been a resident of the City of North Port for 12 years and is not currently serving on any other Boards or Committees. The second applicant is Maria “Danielle” Fournier. Ms. Fournier previously applied for the Beautification & Tree/Scenic Highway Committee and another applicant was chosen. Ms. Fournier has been a resident of the City of North Port for 10 years and is not currently serving on any other Boards or Committees. The third applicant is Justin Cody Willis. Mr. Willis has been a resident of the City of North Port for 20 years and is not currently serving on any other Boards or Committees. The applications for Ms. Korpa, Ms. Fournier, and Mr. Willis have been submitted for your review and consideration.
