TITLE: North Port Educational Center Amended and Restated Tenant Lease Agreement with the Senior Friendship Center, Inc. in the amount of $2,400.
Recommended Action
Approve the Amended and Restated Tenant Lease Agreement with the Senior Friendship Center for a term of one year, effective October 1, 2016, amended March 28, 2017 through September 30, 2017, at a cost of $200/month for an annual lease of $2,400.
Background Information
The Senior Friendship Center, Inc. provides lunches and activities Monday through Friday at the North Port Educational Center to senior citizens residing in North Port.
Per Commission direction, the General Services Department has removed from the amended and restated lease agreement, in its entirety section, 4.3 Monthly Rent in Renewal Terms. Following the expiration of the Initial Term, Landlord may increase Tenant’s monthly rent up to five percent (5%) for each renewed term. Landlord shall provide Tenant written notice of any such increase at least sixty (60) days prior to the expiration of the then existing term.
The 2016-2017 Tenant Lease Agreement has been reviewed and revised by the City Attorney.
