Recommended Action

Approve utilization of Lake County, FL Agreement ITB Number 16-0214 for the purchase of a precast restroom/concession building for Butler Park, project P14BMF, in the amount of $157,295.

Background Information

Butler Park Multipurpose field renovation project, timeline to date:

September 19, 2013: Commission approved Ordinance 2013-21 Adopting the FY14 Capital Improvement Plan which included the Butler Park Multi-Purpose Field project in the amount of $440,000.

December 2013: RFP 2014-13 for Professional Design and Engineering Services for the multi-purpose fields at Butler Park was advertised.

February - April 2014: Agreement 2014-13 negotiations between the City and Florida Transportation Engineering.

July 14, 2014: Commission awarded Agreement 2014-13 to Florida Transportation Engineers for the design and engineering services in the amount of $67,500.

February 27, 2015: Commission, in workshop, had consensus to authorize the City Manager to effectuate the demolition of the former concession building and relocate the electrical service.

April 13, 2015: Amendment No. 1 to Agreement 2014-13 with Florida Transportation Engineers, in the amount of $10,500, was approved for additional design and engineering services to demolish the concession building and relocate the electrical service for the existing field lights.

September 24, 2015: Commission approved Ordinance 2015-33 adopting the FY16 Capital Improvement Plan and appropriating funding for the Butler Park Project; FY16 $750,000; FY17 $750,000; FY18 $250,000 and FY19 $250,000.

November 2015: The former concession stand was demolished and removed from Butler Park.
