Grant application to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity in an amount of $41,000 for a Community Planning and Technical Assistance Grant, and to authorize the City Manager to approve the funding agreement should the grant be awarded.

 

Background Information

 

City staff submitted a grant application on May 9, 2019 to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity office for the 2019-2020 Community Planning Technical Assistance Grant.  This grant will aid in the research, evaluation, and development of a range of effective planning strategies (e.g. legal, economic environmental and structural) by which the City may require or encourage modifying, de-platting, and/or aggregating and re-platting approximately 650 acres of Activity Area Six.

 

If awarded, the City Attorney will review the contract for legal form.
