Recommended Action

 

Approve State Highway Lighting Maintenance, and Compensation Agreement Exhibit A for the maintenance of 265 streetlights along US 41 for the period of July 1, 2019, to June 30, 2020, between the City of North Port and the State of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).

 

Background Information

 

Annually, the FDOT provides a lump sum payment to the City of North Port for the maintenance of streetlights on US 41. 

 

For the period of July 1, 2019, to June 30, 2020, the City will receive $69,489.36 for maintenance of 265 streetlights.  This is an increase from 124 streetlight in previous years.  The following provides revenue and expenditure estimates: 

 

Fiscal Year 2018/2019:

Revenue:                                          $31,568.29

Expenditures:                                          $10,578.02 (estimated)

 

Fiscal Year 2019/2020

Revenue:                                          $69,489.36

Expenditures:                                          $23,286.09 (estimated)

 

The City Attorney has reviewed this Agreement for legal form.
