TITLE: Utilization of Charlotte County Contract # 14-375, Reinforced Concrete Culvert Pipe - Elliptical with Rinker Materials Concrete Pipe Division, for purchase of reinforced concrete pipe in the estimated amount of $291,000.
Recommended Action
Approve utilization of Charlotte County Contract # 14-375, Reinforced Concrete Culvert Pipe - Elliptical with Hydro Conduit Corporation d/b/a Rinker Materials Concrete Pipe Division, Fort Myers, FL, on an 'as required basis', at the unit prices indicated on the tabulation, with the contract term through and including September 30, 2017.
Background Information
The City of North Port Department of Public Works is currently utilizing Charlotte County contract # 14-375 with Rinker Materials Concrete Pipe Division for the purchase of concrete pipe. The City intends to advertise and establish a conditional contract for the required materials and to secure the cost and availability of supply which will provide prompt and convenient service to the City.
Staff has been proactively addressing the drainage challenges before the summer rainy season begins. To date, Public Works has encumbered $91,000 for the purchase of concrete pipe.
The City Manager's policy requires all procurement over $100,000 be presented to Commission for consideration.
