TITLE: Contract Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 2016-51, Road Bond and Road Rehabilitation Project with Preferred Materials, Inc. in the amount of $235,202.80.
Recommended Action
Approve Contract Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 2016-51, Road Bond and Road Rehabilitation Project with Preferred Materials, Inc. in the amount of $235,202.80.
Background Information
On September 27, 2016, Contract No. 2016-51 for the Road Bond and Road Rehabilitation Project was awarded to Preferred Materials, Inc.
Staff has determined the need for additional work in the following areas:
• Replacement of stormwater pipe on South Orlando Boulevard
• Addition of riprap and replacement of stormwater pipe on Torrington Street
• Replacement of stormwater pipe on Richbriar Drive
Staff expects the above improvements will cost $235,202.80. To accommodate the time needed for the work, this change order will extend the completion date to February 19, 2018.
