Discussion and possible action regarding the Special Meeting scheduled for December 7, 2017.
Background Information
The City Commission has a Special Meeting scheduled for December 7, 2017 at 1PM. On December 7-8, 2017, the Florida League of Cities has scheduled the FLC Legislative Conference. The League’s Legislative Conference is held each Fall. During this meeting, the League’s Legislative Policy Statements are approved by the membership. The policy statements, the work product of the League’s five legislative policy committees, directs the League’s lobbying efforts for the upcoming Florida legislative session.
The Mayor has requested that this agenda item be added to discuss moving the date of the Special Meeting. There is not a lot of information available at this time, but if the policy and board meetings are all scheduled for that time, the Mayor, Vice-Mayor, and City Manager are all currently assigned to committees.
