Recommended Action

 

Appointment of one (1) Member to the Public Utility Advisory Board.

 

Background Information

 

There is currently one vacancy on the Public Utility Advisory Board and the vacancy has been announced at Commission Regular Meetings from July through September. The City Clerk’s Office has received two applications and there are no other applications pending.  The first applicant is Victor Dobrin.  Mr. Dobrin has been a resident of the City of North Port for 6 months and is not currently serving on any other board. The second applicant is Joeann Fraser.  Ms. Fraser has been a resident of the City of North Port for over 20 years and is not currently serving on any other boards or committee.  Ms. Fraser previously served on the Art Advisory Board from 05-22-2006 to 12-2014 and on the Public Utility Advisory Board from 04-24-2004 to 04-09-2016 and her attendance on both boards was excellent.  Ms. Fraser termed out a little over one year ago, and is now eligible for appointment to the board.  The residency required for this board is 6 months.  The applications for Mr. Dobrin and Ms. Fraser have been attached for your review and consideration.
