TITLE: Discussion, and possible action, regarding the appointment of one member to the Art Advisory Board.
Recommended Action
Consider appointment of Carol Dawkins or Josh Reid as a Member of the Art Advisory Board.
Background Information
There is currently one vacancy on the art Advisory Board and the vacancy has been announced at the Commission Regular Meetings from November 22, 2016 through February 28, 2017. The City Clerk’s Office has received two applications and there are no other applications currently pending. The first applicant is Carol Dawkins. Ms. Dawkins has been a resident of the City of North Port for 13 years and has just completed her first term on the Art Advisory Board, which expired on February 23, 2017. Ms. Dawkins has expressed a desire to be reappointed for a second term, her attendance at meetings was excellent and she is not is not currently serving on any other boards or Committees. The second applicant is Josh Reid. Mr. Reid has been a resident of the City of North Port for four years and is not currently serving on any other boards or Committees. The applications for Ms. Dawkins and Mr. Reid have been submitted for your review and consideration.
