Recommended Action
Approve the First Amendment to the Interlocal Agreement between Sarasota County Government and the City of North Port for backup Dispatch Services and Related Communications Services.
Background Information
On May 28, 2015, the Commission signed an Interlocal Agreement between Sarasota County Government and the City of North Port for backup Dispatch Services and Related Communications Services. Originally, Sarasota County Government was going to purchase, install and maintain two of the four new radio consoles needed in the City’s dispatch center in order to be operational on the new proposed County-wide radio system with the City of North Port purchasing the remaining two radio consoles. With this Amendment, the County has agreed to purchase all four radio consoles. This is a savings to the City of approximately $179,560.
The attached amendment has been reviewed as to form and correctness by the City Attorney.

Financial Impact
With the approval of the agreement, the County will fund all four radio consoles that currently exist in the North Port Communications Center. This would result in a savings of approximately ($179,560).
