TITLE: Recommendation for Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Member to serve as representative on the Sarasota County Parks Advisory and Recreation Council
Recommended Action
Approve Parks and Recreation Advisory Board member, Andrew Sias, as the representative on the Sarasota County Parks Advisory and Recreation Council.
Background Information
On January 5, 2017, Parks & Recreation Advisory Board member Victor Boyd notified the City Clerk’s office that he was no longer able fulfill his duties as the representative on the Sarasota County Parks Advisory and Recreation Council.
Per Ordinance No. 2014-14, Section 4-162.B.1.d, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board shall recommend to the City Commission a representative from the Board to serve as a representative on the Sarasota County Parks Advisory and Recreation Council.
At the January 19, 2017 Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meeting, member Andrew Sias was nominated to serve as the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board representative to the Sarasota County Parks Advisory and Recreation Council. The draft minutes from this meeting are attached showing the motion carried unanimously.
