TITLE: Discussion and possible action regarding appointment of one Firefighters' Pension Board of Trustee as a North Port Resident appointed by the Commission.
Recommended Action
Consider appointment of Casey Kelch or Gerardo Rodriguez as a North Port Resident Member appointed by the Commission to the Fire Fighters’ Pension Board of Trustees.
Background Information
There is currently one vacancy on the Firefighters’ Pension Board of Trustees for a North Port Resident Member appointed by the Commission. The vacancy has been announced at the Commission Regular Meetings from September 13, 2016 through December 13, 2016. The City Clerk’s Office has received two applications and there are no other applications pending. The first applicant is Casey Kelch. Mr. Kelch has been a North Port resident for 8 years and is not currently serving on any other boards or committees. The second applicant is Gerardo Rodriguez. Mr. Rodriguez just completed his second term which expired on November 24, 2016 and would like to be considered for a third term. The applications for Mr. Kelch and Mr. Rodriguez have been submitted for your review and consideration.
