Recommended Action
Appoint Kathryn Peto as the Interim City Clerk effective August 22, 2018 with a pay change to the minimum of the Director Pay Grade.
Background Information
At the July 24, 2018 Commission Meeting the Commission directed that an item be placed on the Agenda for the August 21, 2018 Commission Special Meeting to appoint Kathryn Peto as the Interim City Clerk effective August 22, 2018.

Financial Impact
At the time of the appointment of the last Interim City Clerk, the pay for the Interim position was in accordance with the City’s Personnel Policy, which is either the minimum of the pay grade or 5% above the current pay of the employee, whichever is higher. In this case the pay would be the minimum of the pay grade. Funding for this change is available in the current budget.
