Background Information
On May 25, 2017 the Commission and staff held a workshop to discuss Chapter 45, the city’s tree ordinance. On February 2, 2018, I sent an email to the City Manager requesting for an update on when the ordinance is going to be revisited. Staff responded they are waiting for the ULDC rewrite. A recommendation was made to wait for the ULDC rewrite, but the recommendation was not stated in the consensus.
In my opinion, a clear direction needs to be given to avoid any misunderstandings.
