Recommended Action
Approve the CJIS Security Supplement to Software License and Services Agreement.
Background Information
Superion is the software vendor that is utilized by the North Port Police Department for management of its Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management System, Mobile CAD and other core application systems.
This supplement is a required document to fulfill an FBI CJIS Audit finding that was noted by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). The supplemental is basically an acknowledgement by Superion that they will abide by and stay in compliance with the FBI’s CJIS Security Policy mandates and regulations. The supplement was signed by Jose Figueiredo, the CJIS Security Officer at Superion, and requires signatures from the City of North Port prior to submission to our FDLE CJIS Auditor.
This agreement was approved by Legal as to form and content.
