TITLE: Warm Mineral Springs Park Conceptual Master Plan
Recommended Action
Presentation by James Pankonin of Kimley-Horn & Associates Inc. outlining the conceptual Master Plan for Warm Mineral Springs Park.
Background Information
At the September 6, 2018 Commission meeting, consultants from Kimley-Horn & Associates Inc. (Kimley- Horn), Janus Research, and Sweet Sparkman Architects provided an overview of the Warm Mineral Spring Park Master Plan process, along with an update on the archeological research for the site and a draft of the nomination proposal for the National Register of Historic Places related to the existing buildings. At the meeting, Commission approved the planned outreach campaign and stakeholder meetings and also authorized the Mayor to sign the Historical Designation application.
Since that time, the historic designation application has been submitted and it is anticipated that the application will be reviewed by the Florida National Register Review Board at their May 2019 quarterly meeting. Once approved by the Board, the application will be sent to the National Park Service.
Today, James Pankonin from Kimley-Horn will present the Master Plan Concept (Task 5 - Agreement No. 2017-40) for Warm Mineral Springs Park and display several imagery boards illustrating design concepts. Discussion will also touch on the various survey results and feedback from stakeholder meetings.
