Recommended Action
Approve Contract No. 2019-35 Grid 205B Drainage Project to E.T. Mackenzie of Florida, Inc. in the amount of $484,410.00 plus contingency in the amount of $48,441.00 for a total amount of $532,851.00.
Background Information
Bids received for Request for Bid (RFB) No. 2019-35 were opened on December 12, 2018. Six (6) construction companies responded to the RFB. E.T. Mackenzie of Florida, Inc. was the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The contract will consist of various drainage improvements including replacement of outfall pipes, catch basins and other drainage improvements with the City's Grid 205B. Work shall commence on, or immediately after, February 1, 2019, and shall be completed within 300 calendar days after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The proposed 10% contingency will allow for possible relocation of water mains and gas lines in the project area.
