Recommended Action

 

Appointments of Norbert Schneider and Paul R. Orsino as Regular Members to the Public Utility Advisory Board.

 

Background Information

 

There are currently three vacancies for Regular Members on the Public Utility Advisory Board, and two Alternate vacancies.  The vacancies have been announced at the Commission Regular Meetings from October 9, 2018 through March 5, 2019.  The City Clerk’s Office has received two applications and there are no other applications pending.  The applicants are Norbert Schneider and Paul R. Orsino who applied for the Regular Member openings.  Mr. Schneider has been a resident of the City of North Port for 19 years and previously served on the Planning & Zoning Advisory Board until his second term expired on February 23, 2019. While on the Planning & Zoning Advisory Board, his attendance was excellent.  Mr. Orsino has been a resident of the City of North Port for 14 years and is not serving on any other City Board or Committee.  The applications for Mr. Schneider and Mr. Orsino are attached for your review and consideration.
