Recommended Action

 

Approval of Community Development Block Grant Subrecipient Agreement between Sarasota County, Florida and the City of North Port, Florida to fund sidewalk construction, in the amount of $100,000, Contract Number B-18-UC-12-0014.

 

Background Information

 

The Subrecipient Agreement will provide the Department of Public Works with $100,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding, to be utilized for the construction of sidewalks. The locations being considered for funding include:

 

                     Pan American Boulevard from Sydney Avenue to La Brea Street

                     South Biscayne Drive from North Port Boulevard to Goings Lane

                     Wesley Lane from Porto Chico Avenue to Coco Solo Avenue

                     Porto Bello Avenue from Nelle Street to Ancon Street

 

Design will be completed by in house staff.

 

This Subrecipient Agreement has already been reviewed and approved by the Sarasota County Board of Commissioners on the November 27, 2018 meeting.

 

The Subrecipient Agreement has been reviewed and approved by the City Attorney’s Office.

This is a reimbursement grant.  Monthly requests for reimbursements are submitted, as outlined in the grant award. The total reimbursement for this grant will not exceed $100,000.
