TITLE: Revised Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ring Neighborhoods.
Recommended Action
Approve the Revised MOU with Ring Neighborhoods.
Background Information
On February 12, 2019 the City Commission approved the MOU with Ring Neighborhoods. On February 20, 2019 Ring notified the City Attorney’s Office that it was no longer able to honor the camera donation program as it appeared in the MOU as it had become indefinitely suspended. The City Attorney’s Office attempted to negotiate additional cameras up-front to replace the camera donation program and requested that Ring negotiate some other form of alternative; however, Ring rejected the proposal and offered only to honor the 10 initial cameras.
The MOU is legally sufficient as revised per the City Attorney’s office.
