TITLE: Ordinance No. 2018-63, Second Reading, amending the Code of the City of North Port, Florida, Chapter 4 Boards and Committees, to add new Article XI North Port Youth Council, Sections 4-200 through 4-209, creating said Advisory Board and setting forth membership requirements, duties, and procedures for such Board.

Adopt Ordinance 2018-63 Youth Council
Background Information
The Commission directed staff on January 3, 2019 to bring back Ordinance 2018-63 for second reading with revisions to the following sections:
• § 4-202(a) - changing the North Port residency requirement to attendance in a North Port school for one year
• § 4-202(f)(1)a - changing the residency requirement to a school attendance requirement; including a provision that if a member changes schools, the member will transition to an open seat, or if none is available, that the term ends and the seat vacates
• § 4-203(c) - change “representatives” to “members”
• § 4-206(c) - to state that the City Manager, rather than the Commission, will provide additional staff
