Appointment of Sam George to the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Background Information
There is currently a vacancy on the Zoning Board of Appeals. Sam George has just completed his first term which expired on January 26, 2018 and has expressed a desire to be appointed for a second term. There was some confusion as to when Mr. George’s term expired, and it was determined that the wrong expiration date was provided to Mr. George in the letter he received regarding his appointment (letter submitted as backup material). The City Clerk’s Office researched his appointment date and found it to be January 26, 2018 which was correct on the Member Roster. Mr. George has been a resident of the City of North Port for 12 years, he is not currently serving on any other Boards or Committee’s and his attendance at meetings has been excellent. The application has been submitted for your review and consideration. Thank you.
