TITLE: Resolution No. 2017-R-39, which repeals Resolution Nos. 2016-R-21 and 2017-R-19 in their entirety, thereby dissolving the Medical Hospital Task Force.
Recommended Action
Approve Resolution No. 2017-R-39, which repeals Resolution Nos. 2016-R-21 and 2017-R-19 in their entirety, thereby dissolving the Medical Hospital Task Force.
Background Information
On September 13, 2016, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2016-R-21, creating the Medical Hospital Task Force.
On May 23, 2017, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 2017-R-19, revising the requirements for the Medical Hospital Task Force. The title of Resolution 2017-R-19 referenced the repeal of Resolution 2016-R-21, however the body of the Resolution did not. The current Resolution repeals Resolution 2016-R-21 in an effort to remove any ambiguity of the Commission’s intent.
Section 4.01 of Resolution 2017-R-19 provides that the Resolution shall automatically be repealed either twelve (12) months after the first meeting of the task force or on September 30, 2018, whichever date is the later. At its November 2, 2017 special meeting, the City Commission unanimously voted to disband the Medical Hospital Task Force.
Resolution No. 2017-R-39 repeals Resolution Nos. 2016-R-21 and 2017-R-19, thereby dissolving the Medical Hospital Task Force.
