TITLE:                                          Resolution 2017-R-05, Panacea Boulevard Landscape Maintenance

Recommended Action

Approve Resolution 2017-R-05, accepting landscape maintenance of Panacea Boulevard.

Background Information

On January 24, 2017, the City Commission voted to direct staff to bring forward an amendment to Resolution No 2015-R-07, condition 1.04, for the City to maintain landscaping within the right-of-way for Panacea Boulevard.  The City Commission deferred Plantation Boulevard landscaping maintenance to remain the responsibility of the Woodlands CDD.

Strategic Plan

Financially Responsible City Providing Quality Municipal Services

Maintained/Upgraded/Expanded City Infrastructure

Financial Impact

Staff is recommending that for the remainder of fiscal year 2017 Panacea be maintained once a month. The Commission could revisit the level of service during its 2018 budget process. The City has received a quote for the landscape maintenance for Panacea Boulevard within the boundary of the CDD which includes edging, mowing, weed eating, and removal of dead vegetation at a monthly cost of $2,000.
