TITLE:                     Resolution No. 2017-R-08, providing for dedicating a permanent Ten-Foot Wide Utility Easement to the Florida Power and Light Company on the Site of Fire Station 85.

 

 

Recommended Action

 

Approve of Resolution No. 2017-R-08 for dedication of a permanent Ten-Foot Wide Utility Easement to the Florida Power and Light Company on the site of Fire Station 85 at 1308 N. Biscayne Drive, North Port and for the Mayor to sign all related documents.

 

Background Information

 

The Fire Station 85 construction project on N. Biscayne Drive is in progress.  The fire station will require a permanent electrical power source that will be supplied by Florida Power and Light Company (FPL).  FPL requires a ten-foot wide easement under/over the site to bring in their power lines to the station transformer from the right of way.

 

Once approved by the City Commission the North Port City Clerk will file the documents, Resolution No. 2017-R-08 and Sketch of Description, to be recorded by the Clerk of Court of Sarasota County in the Public Record.

 

The Resolution and related documents have been reviewed and approved as to form by the City Attorney.
