Background Information

The proposed Solid Waste District Ordinance 2017-02 changes are needed to be consistent with the new Recycling Program. The new verbiage changes the use of the word "recycling bins" to "automated recycling containers." Recyclables are currently collected manually by using two 18 gallon bins; one for paper products and one for commingle material (glass-plastic-cans). Minor grammatical corrections have also been made to the Ordinance. The City Attorney has reviewed and approved Ordinance 2017-02.
