Recommended Action
Approve a letter from the Mayor for submission with the Florida Municipal Achievement Award application.
Background Information
The City is submitting an application for the Florida Municipal Achievement Award with the Florida League of Cities. The City is applying for this award based on the City’s efforts related to social media. The success of the City’s social media presence has had a huge impact of residents, visitors and community organizations.
One of the requirements of the award program is a letter of recommendation on behalf of the Mayor and Commission. Staff has prepared a letter for the Mayor to sign which is attachment 1.
