Background Information
Large construction and repair projects of public infrastructure can impact the roadway system, resulting in increased travel times and the potential for additional conflicts between vehicular and pedestrian traffic during peak travel times; therefore, it is often safer to complete necessary work outside of standard work hours.
Ordinance No. 2024-47 seeks to amend Chapter 46, Article II, Section 46-45 to provide clarity on applicability for exceptions to the noise restrictions for activities related to emergency work and planned capital improvement projects that impact public utilities, right-of-way, property, or structures.
Ordinance No. 2024-47 has been reviewed by the City Attorney and is legally correct as to form.
