Presentation by the Environmental Conservancy of North Port.
Background Information
The Environmental Conservancy of North Port is a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity focused on acquiring and conserving undeveloped natural land parcels in neighborhoods of North Port and its surrounding areas (Sarasota and Charlotte Counties) to provide a greenspace balance between where nature has lived for decades and where we live today as our population continues to grow at a rapid pace.
Barbara Lockhart is the President/Director of the Environmental Conservancy of North Port, a University of Florida Master Naturalist, Florida Registered Paralegal, and Director of the North Port Nature Stewards. Ms. Lockhart approached Commissioner White about providing a PowerPoint presentation detailing the Environmental Conservancy of North Port’s efforts towards conservation, pending acquisitions and future initiatives.
Commissioner White has requested that this item be brought to the Commission.
