TITLE:                     Approve the Execution of the Federally Funded Subaward and Grant Agreement for EM-3561 - Tropical Storm Elsa with the Florida Division of Emergency Management and Allow the City Manager to Execute all Subsequent Agreements.

 

 

Recommended Action

 

Approve execution of the Federally Funded Subaward and Grant Agreement with the Florida Division of Emergency Management for Tropical Storm Elsa expenses and allow the City Manager to execute all subsequent Agreements.

 

Background Information

 

The City of North Port is eligible for reimbursement of Tropical Storm Elsa emergency related response expenses through the Federal Emergency Management Agency Public Assistance (FEMA PA) Grant Program which is administered by the Florida Division of Emergency Management. This Grant Program became available to the City after the President signed the Disaster Declaration for the storm.  The program will reimburse the City up to $121,593 for disaster claims submitted to the FEMA.

 

The Federally Funded Subaward and Grant Agreement with the Florida Division of Emergency Management for Tropical Storm Elsa expenses has been reviewed by the City Attorney and is legally correct as to form.
