Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Compensation Adjustment for the Deputy City Clerk during her assumption of the City Clerk Duties.

Background Information

At the July 23rd City Commission meeting, the Commission discussed the Deputy Clerk’s assumption of the City Clerk’s duties in her absence.  In that discussion, Commission directed the City Manager to bring the matter back at a September meeting so a salary adjustment for the Deputy Clerk could be discussed and acted upon.

Section 5.6 of the City’s Personnel Policy provides for additional compensation for Interim Management Assignments.  Based on the current job description for the City Clerk position, the salary range is $97,114.58 to $145,671.77.

This item is being brought forth so Commission may discuss and provide direction as to any temporary compensation adjustment for the Deputy Clerk.
