Recommended Action
Discussion and direction on proposal for North Port Skate and Paint Party community art project.
Background Information
Jessica Howard is a local artistic community activist working with artists and businesses in Sarasota County to build the arts community and create educational, employment, performance and promotional opportunities for local artists. She has reached out to Commissioner Luke with a proposal for a North Port Skate and Paint Party event at the North Port Skate Park. The event is intended to provide an opportunity to bring community youth, civic and business organizations together for a creative and fun community experience leaving a lasting artistic mark on the park.
At the Commission’s Direction, Ms. Howard can bring back more detailed information for Commission approval at a subsequent meeting.
