TITLE:                     Approve the First Amendment to Lease Agreement Between the City of North Port and North Port Senior Center for Space at the Community Education Center 
 
Recommended Action
 
Approve the First Amendment to Lease Agreement between the City of North Port and North Port Senior Center for space at the Community Education Center.
 
Background Information
 
The North Port Senior Center, Inc. provides programs and activities to seniors Monday through Friday at the Community Education Center. 
 
The lease amount of $200/per month is unchanged from the previous lease agreement. The tenant lease agreement is on its fifth term and will expire on September 30, 2022. An amendment has been made extending the terms of the previous lease agreement by one year, expiring on September 30, 2023. Once a City-wide standardized lease policy takes affect the agreement will need to come back to Commission for approval under the new terms. 
 
The first amendment to the North Port Senior Center lease agreement has been reviewed by the City Attorney and is legally correct as to form.
