TITLE: Approve the Appointment of Ron Dipillio as the Higher Education Representative of the Community Economic Development Advisory Board to a Three-Year Term From March 30, 2023, to March 30, 2026.
Recommended Action
Approve the Appointment of Ron Dipillio as the Higher Education Representative of the Community Economic Development Advisory Board to a three-year term from March 30, 2023, to March 30, 2026.
Background Information
Currently, there is one (1) vacancy on the Community Economic Development Advisory Board and the vacancy has been announced as required. The City Clerk has received one (1) application from Ron Dipillio and there have been no other applications submitted. Mr. Dipillio does not currently serve on any other board or committee and he is not a resident of North Port, however, the Board’s legislation states “. . . in cases where local residents are unable or unavailable to fill a specific category, applicants who are not city residents will be considered for membership.” Florida Statutes 112.3143(6) regarding conflict disclosures is not applicable for this applicant. His application has been submitted for review and consideration.
