TITLE:                                          Discussion and Possible Action Regarding the City Manager Six-Month Evaluation

Recommended Action

Discussion and possible action regarding the City Manager’s six-month evaluation.

Background Information

Pursuant to the City Manager’s Employment Agreement, Article II, Section G (1), the City Commission must conduct an initial performance evaluation of the City Manager at or around six (6) months from the October 1, 2021 effective date of the agreement.

The City Manager has provided a self-evaluation for the Commission which is included along with the Commissioners’ evaluations for consideration.  Additionally, the City Manager prepared an anonymous evaluation survey to garner feedback from Department Directors, administrators from neighbor agencies, and other local stakeholders who have worked with him since his arrival.  The results of that survey are also included for consideration.

Financial Impact

Per Article II, Section 6 (1) of the Agreement, the Commission will consider an adjustment to the City Manager’s salary of up to $5,000.00 based upon the results of the initial performance evaluation. Funding for the potential increase is available in Account No. 001-0800-512.11-00.
