Recommended Action

Option 1: Approve and Authorize the City Manager to execute the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of North Port, Florida, and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Local 3432 regarding Pesticide Applicator Certification Specialty Pay.

City Commission Options

Option 1: Approve and Authorize the City Manager to execute the MOU between the City of North Port, Florida, and AFSCME Local 3432 regarding Pesticide Applicator Certification Specialty Pay.

* Pros: Approving this MOU will provide clarification language that was agreed upon by both the City and AFSCME for processing affected employee wages.
* Cons: Staff have not identified a disadvantage to approving the negotiated MOU.

Option 2: Deny the MOU between the City of North Port, Florida, and the AFSCME Local 3432 regarding Pesticide Applicator Certification Specialty Pay.
