Background Information

At the September 6, 2018 Special Meeting, Commission authorized the City Manager to move forward with solicitation for lobbyist services. Staff drafted a scope of services and evaluation criteria for Commission review and approval.

Once Commission has approved the scope and evaluation criteria, staff will move forward with the solicitation process which will include:

Responsive, responsible submissions will be provided to the Commission for individual review.

At the next available Commission Meeting, Commission will select the firms to interview.

A meeting will be scheduled to conduct interviews. (Per F.S. 286.0113(1)(2)(a) this must be a closed meeting.)

Upon firm selection, staff will move forward with the contract for approval at a Regular Commission Meeting.
