Accept the Cash Receipts Summary Report for January 2024.
Background Information
Section 9.05, Powers and Duties, (f), ARTICLE IX of the City Charter of the City of North Port, Florida, states:
“(f) At the first regularly scheduled meeting each month of the City Commission, submit a summary report of receipts and disbursements.”
Accordingly, attached is the summary report of receipts and disbursements by fund for the month of January 2024. This statement is designed to give the reader an indication of the financial condition of the City through the end of the month shown by summarizing the actual cash receipts and disbursements. Please be reminded that this summary is not a final statement and is subject to revision and audit. You will note that there are certain funds that are reported on this summary that are not in the control of the City. Those funds include impact fees collected for Sarasota County and the Sarasota County School Board, which are reported in Funds 154, 155, 158, and 159. Also included on this report for informational purposes are the Fire and Police Pension Funds, 651 and 652, over which the City does not have control.
