TITLE: Approve a three-year Software-as-a-Service (SAAS) Agreement with Tyler Technology for ExecuTime Products, Services and Training.
Recommended Action
Approve a three-year SAAS (Software-as-a-Service) agreement with Tyler Technologies Inc. for ExecuTime products, services and training.
Background Information
Since 2007, the City of North Port has ExecuTime software for employee time entry scheduling and benefits. ExecuTime software has been acquired by Tyler Technologies on June 1, 2016. ExecuTime has been a longtime partner with Tyler to automate employee time entry, scheduling and benefits. Tyler Technology has asked for this software to be moved into their data center from an offsite location. This will give Tyler Technologies better management of the software and provide City staff an efficient and effective manner in which to manage troubleshooting.
In order to proceed with this action, Tyler Technologies requires the City to sign the attached agreement. Staff is requesting Commission to approve this agreement and authorize the City Manager to execute. The City is not incurring any cost for this action in this fiscal year. The cost increase will come next fiscal year for software and server maintenance. The increase will be for the space on their server and the employee time for maintenance they will take on. All required procurement documentation and back-up will be submitted for approval in fiscal year 2021 and 2022.
This SAAS Agreement has been reviewed and approved by the City Attorney's office as to form and correctness.
