Background Information
Currently, there are eleven vacancies on the North Port Youth Council. The vacancies were announced as required. The City Clerk received nine applications for appointment to the Board on September 3, 2026. KayleeLynn Webstar and Starr T. attend Wellen Park High School. Savannah Wilmer, Jayla Gordon, Jenny Nguyen, Logan W., or Pranaam Lobo attend North Port High School. Omy Patel and Dominic Segreto applied as student community at-large. No applicants attend Imagine High School or are home-schooled. Each applicant indicated completion of the STAR (Students Taking Active Roles) Leadership Training Program; satisfaction of the age and high school enrollment requirements; and residency within the limits of the City of North Port for at least one (1) year.
