TITLE: A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of North Port, Florida, Amending City Commission Policy No. 2021-03 Related to the Rules of Order and Rules of Decorum for Boards.
Recommended Action
Adopt Resolution No. 2023-R-10 as presented.
Background Information
During the City Commission Regular Meeting held on November 8, 2022, the Commission made a motion to direct the City Attorney and City Clerk to work on a process for workshops, consensuses and motions as Commission policy to be brought back to Commission for approval.
During the City Commission Regular Meeting held on February 14, 2023, the Commission adopted Ordinance No. 2023-07 related to Advisory Boards and Committees. Rules of Order and Rules of Decorum for Advisory Boards were repealed from the Code of the City of North Port, Florida, at that time and have been placed in Policy 2021-03 to be consistent with City Commission order and decorum.
Resolution No. 2023-R-10 and Policy 2021-03 have been reviewed by the City Attorney and are legally correct as to form.
