Recommended Action

Appointment of Holly Loos as a Regular Member to the Art Advisory Board, to serve a two-year term from February 4, 2020 to February 4, 2022.

Background Information

There are currently two vacancies for Regular Members on the Art Advisory Board, and two Alternate Member vacancies.  The vacancies have been announced as required.  The City Clerk has received one (1) application from Holly Loos for a Regular Member position and there have been no other applications submitted.  Ms. Loos served on the Beautification and Tree/Scenic Highway Committee from 11-13-2017 to 11-13-2019.  During her tenure, Ms. Loos missed one out of 13 meetings. Since tracking “unavailability to attend” began in June 2019, Ms. Loos stated she could not attend 1 meeting, contributing to lack of a quorum and the meeting being cancelled.   She has been a resident of North Port for 3 ½ years and does not presently serve on any other Boards or Committees.  Her application has been provided for review and consideration.
