Background Information
A bite suit is a specialized protective garment designed for training police dogs. The suit features multiple layers of material to absorb and distribute the force of a dog’s bite. It provides full body coverage, including the arms, legs, chest, and back, with heavily padded sections to safeguard forearms, shoulders, and thighs.
In order to continue providing effective canine training for the City of North Port, the police department is requesting approval to accept the donation of a Roca bite training Suit, with an approximate value of $1,650.00, from the Retired Law Enforcement Association of Southwest Florida.
