TITLE: Resolution 2017-R-19 Creation of the Medical Hospital Task Force
Recommended Action
Approve Resolution 2017-R-19 which replaces 2016-R-21 Creation of the Medical Hospital Task Force.
Background Information
At the regular Commission meeting on March 28, 2017 the recommendations of the Community and Economic Development Advisory Board was presented to City Commission, responding to Commission’s direction at a previous Commission meeting. During the December 13, 2016 regular meeting Commission asked for the advisory board’s “take and recommendation upon review of the resolution.”
During the March 28th meeting, the advisory board provided their full discussion notes and three recommendations to City Commission (see attachment). Upon hearing the recommendations and upon further discussion, Commission directed staff to “review Resolution 2016-R-21 to reflect the recommendations made by the advisory board.” Resolution 2017-R-19 incorporates the language from the former resolution as well as the recommendations by the advisory board. A legislative version of the resolution is provided for ease of reference as to the changes made. This new resolution has been reviewed by the Office of the City Attorney.
