TITLE: A Resolution of the City of North Port, Florida, Authorizing the City Commission to Participate in a Joint Meeting with the Sarasota County Commission to Receive, Discuss, and Act Upon Matters of Mutual Interest, Incorporating Recitals, Providing for Severability, and Providing an Effective Date.
Recommended Action
Approve Resolution 2023-R-13.
Background Information
The City Manager’s Office spoke with Sarasota County Administration, Commission Services Manager Leigh Sprimont regarding scheduling a Joint Meeting between the North Port City Commission and the Sarasota County Commission.
Joint Meetings are authorized however, they must be approved by Resolution and noticed in both municipalities. The Joint Meeting is scheduled for May 18, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Robert L. Anderson Administration Center, 4000 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice, Florida, 34289.
Resolution No. 2023-R-13 has been reviewed by the City Attorney and is legally correct as to form.
