TITLE: Approval of Cedar Grove Phase 2A, Plat (QUASI-JUDICIAL)
Recommended Action
City Commission approve PLF-20-101, Cedar Grove Phase 2A, Plat.
Background Information
Strickland Smith with Heidt Design on behalf of Centex Homes requests review and approval of a final plat for 120 single family lots within Cedar Grove Phase 2A.
In August of 2020, the Infrastructure (INF-19-261) and Subdivision Plans (SCP-19-262) for Cedar Grove Phases 2A and 2B were approved by City Staff. This project is platting Cedar Grove Phase 2A only and adds 120 single family lots and the associated right-of-way and drainage. The total site contains approximately ± 42.173 acres. Approval and acceptance of this plat does not constitute the City taking ownership and/ responsibility for the platted roads.
A surety bond for INF-19-261 in the amount of $1,678,299.32 has been received by the City of North Port.
The plat has been reviewed and approved by the City Surveyor.
The Planning and Zoning Advisory Board heard this petition at their regularly scheduled September 17, 2020 meeting. They voted unanimously to recommend approval of PLF-20-101 to City Commission.
