TITLE: Approve the Community Development Block Grant Subrecipient Agreement Between Sarasota County, Florida, and the City of North Port, Florida, for Story Walk at the Garden of the Five Senses Park, in the Amount of $20,000.
Recommended Action
Approve the Community Development Block Grant Subrecipient Agreement between Sarasota County, Florida, and the City of North Port, Florida, for Story Walk at the Garden of the Five Senses Park, in the amount of $20,000.
Background Information
The Subrecipient Agreement will provide the City of North Port with $20,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding, to be utilized for making capital improvements to the Garden of the Five Senses at 4299 Pan American Boulevard, North Port, Florida, 34287. These improvements will consist of the purchase and installation 40 storytelling signs along an existing 1,970 lineal foot walking path that is accessible to people of all abilities.
The Subrecipient Agreement has been reviewed by the City Attorney and is legally correct as to form.
