TITLE:                     Approve Parks and Recreation Advisory Board member, James Hersh, to Serve as the Representative on the Sarasota County Parks Advisory and Recreation Council

 

 

Recommended Action

 

Approve Parks and Recreation Advisory Board member, James Hersh, to serve as the representative on the Sarasota County Parks Advisory and Recreation Council.

 

Background Information

 

Parks and Recreation Advisory Board member, Terryl Carl, notified the City Clerk’s office that on October 30, 2020 that she would no longer be able to perform her duties as the City of North Port representative to the Sarasota County Parks Advisory and Recreation Council.

 

Per Ordinance No. 2014-14, Section 4-162.B.1.d, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board shall recommend to the City Commission a member from the Board to serve as a representative to the Sarasota County Parks Advisory and Recreation Council.

 

At the December 17, 2020 Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meeting, members nominated James Hersh to serve as the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board representative to the Sarasota County Parks and Recreation Council.

 

A verbatim record of the motion made at this meeting was provided by the City Clerks’ office and is attached to this agenda item, showing the motion carried unanimously.
