Recommended Action

 

Provide recognition of the success of the students regarding South County STEM.

 

Background Information

 

The students of Atwater Elementary School recently had great success this year in competitions related to STEM.  Commissioner Luke requested that this great news communicated via email from Sean Kirkpatrick be placed on an agenda. Below are the individuals that will be in attendance:

 

Mrs. Bingle, who is in charge of the science fair.

Mr. Steve Lord, 3rd grade teacher

Student, Benjamin Lopez,  for his project of Energy for Flowers 2nd place Life Science for 3rd grade

Ms. Keri Soto, 5th grade teacher

Student, Gabriella Kirkpatrick for her project of Dropping Knowledge 2nd place Mathematics and Technology for 5th grade

Mrs. Confer, who is in charge of the Robotics team

Students on the Robotics team: Gabriella Kirkpatrick, Mason Owens, Aidan Nenno, Ian Roman, Jesse Perez, Zxandyr Hart, Laela Rosa, Chidley Joseph, Gavin Nazal, and Landen Maurer.
